Best for: businesses that take bookings, sell gift certificates or products, and want it all in one place with me running it.
There’s no separate booking app, shop builder, gift card or waiver service to pay for: they’re part of your subscription. Happy with your booking app? You can keep it.

In Bloom
With In Bloom, your booking, shop, gift certificates and waivers run on my own server, and they’re part of your subscription. There’s no separate app to sign up for or pay each month.
Card payments go through your own Stripe at Stripe’s usual rate (about 2.9% + 30¢ a payment), and the money goes straight to you. I don’t take a cut. If you ever cancel, I help you move these into accounts of your own.
How it works
Tell me a little about your business and I’ll make you a free mockup within a week. Pick the build you like and tap anywhere on it to leave me notes.
A few easy questions about your work, by email, and I write your words from them. Then a first draft in about a week, on a private link.
Your changes. Send me what you’d like changed; one email with everything in it is easiest.
At your own web address, plus 30 days of settling-in tweaks on me. Then your subscription carries right on: I can follow your socials and update as you post, or you can keep emailing me.
Ready in about 2, 3 or 4 weeks (Planted, Tended, In Bloom) from your deposit, and it moves if your content comes later.
Who you’d be working with
I tend gardens here in Humboldt County, and I build websites for the small businesses around me. I made my own garden business’s site first, then one for my friend Juliet, and loved it so much it turned into this.
I’m happy to build for any small local business, here or anywhere. It’s just me, so I only take a few new builds a month, and when you write, I’m the one who writes back. That doesn’t stop at launch. (I’m also the one reading your About page out loud to make sure it sounds like you 😂)

Half to start (it holds your spot) and half at launch, by card or bank transfer. My first 5 founding clients get half off the build.
After launch, there’s just your subscription: $12, $45 or $90 a month, matching your site. It starts after your 30 days of settling in, and if you ever cancel, your site is still yours and I hand you every file and login. Your web address’s first year comes with your build. After that, your subscription pays for these, so there’s nothing to renew:
Your subscription doesn’t pay for Stripe’s card fee (about 2.9% + 30¢ per payment, taken from your own sales), paid plans of apps you already use (Square, Vagaro, Acuity and the like), ads, or a newsletter list over 1,000 people. New to online booking? With Tended, I set you up with Cal.com, free for one person and in your name, and with In Bloom, booking runs right on your site, on my server. Would you like email from your own address? It comes with Tended and In Bloom.

Your subscription is what keeps your site healthy and growing, so every site comes with one. If you ever cancel it, your site is still yours and I hand you every file and login.

New hours, a price, a photo, new wording, as often as you need. Big new things, like a new page or a new feature, I quote first.
Every account is in your name. The ones I set up for you, like your newsletter or booking, are made with your email, and I hand you the logins at launch. Where I need a way in after that, I’m added as a helper. What your subscription pays for, and what it doesn’t, is under paying and other costs.
Keep it. Whichever build you pick, your Book button opens the booking app you already use (Vagaro, Square, Fresha, Mindbody, Booksy and the like), so nothing changes for you or your clients. With In Bloom, booking can sit right on your site instead, running on my server as part of your subscription, or you can keep your own app. That’s your choice, and I’ll ask when you pick In Bloom.
No booking app yet? With Tended, I set you up with Cal.com, free for one person and in your name: clients pick a time, and you both get reminders. With In Bloom, booking comes built right into your site. Or keep it simple with Planted: people call, text or email you.
If your link or your app ever changes, just email me and I’ll update it.
Yes. Start with what you need now. When you’re ready for more pages, booking set up for you or right on your site, or selling, what you paid counts toward the bigger build, so moving from Planted to Tended, or Tended to In Bloom, doesn’t mean paying twice. Your subscription moves up with it.

About 2 weeks for Planted, 3 for Tended and 4 for In Bloom, counted from your deposit, and it moves if your content comes later. You’ll see a draft in about a week, then I make your changes. Anything big and new I’ll quote first.
While I build, I set up what your site needs, like your newsletter or booking, in your name and with your email, then hand you the logins at launch. You’ll get one or two confirm-your-email messages from them; just click them. Your part is small: add me as a manager on your Google profile (about 2 minutes), or if you don’t have one yet, I build it, you do Google’s one quick check, and at launch I make you its owner. Taking payments? You make your own Stripe account, with my help over email.
No rush, but if your content isn’t in 30 days after you say yes, I’ll nudge you kindly, and at 60 days the project closes so neither of us is left hanging. Your deposit covers the work done so far, and if you pick it back up within a year, it counts toward finishing.
It’s easy and free, because everything is already in your name. The accounts I set up for you, like your newsletter on Buttondown or your booking on Cal.com, are made with your email, and their logins have been yours since launch. Your Google profile and your Stripe account (if you take payments) are yours too, with me added as a helper. Your web address is legally yours as well: I hold it for you, with you listed as the owner, and renew it as part of your subscription.
If you ever cancel your subscription, I hand you every file and login within a week, your web address too, and your site stays up the whole time. With In Bloom, your booking, shop, gift certificates and waivers can’t keep running on my server, so I help you move them into accounts of your own.
Your subscription ends at the end of the month you’ve paid for.
Your site is built to be found: fast, phone-first, with clear titles and descriptions for Google, your business details written so Google can read them, and a photo preview when someone texts your link. Every build also sets up your Google Business Profile, the listing on the map. Your subscription includes holiday heads-ups, with your hours updated on your site and your Google profile, and with Tended or In Bloom, what you post lands there too.
What I won’t do is promise you’ll outrank a national chain. Nobody honestly can.
Nope. You answer a few easy questions about your work by email, and I write your words from that. You read them, tell me anything that doesn’t sound like you, and I fix it.
And if you make your own art, like flash, lettering, patterns or drawings, send it over and I’ll build it into your site: headers, dividers, buttons, backgrounds, even the little animation. It should look like you made it.
